Derrame Pleural Masivo

Paciente masculino de 77 años con esplenectomia desde hace 8 años por cáncer no clasificado ( en mi conocimiento).El paciente, a pesar de su mal aspecto general, con deterioro evidente , se negaba reiterativamente a admitir que cuando le extirparon el Bazo, era por un cáncer, según porque el estar vivo ocho años después, quería decir que no era cáncer. Lamentablemente el paciente está ya prácticamente desahuciado, lo iban a enviar a casa por ese motivo. Fíjense en el volumen medido del liquido acumulado en la pleura derecha ( 708.05 c.c.), la pleura izquierda también mostraba un derrame masivo, aunque con menor volumen.

Massive Pleural Effusion

77-year-old male patient with splenectomy for 8 years for unclassified cancer (to my knowledge) The patient, despite his general poor appearance, with evident deterioration, repeatedly refused to admit that when the spleen was removed, it was due to cancer, because being alive eight years later meant that it was not cancer. Unfortunately, the patient is practically evicted, they were going to send him home for that reason. Note the measured volume of fluid accumulated in the right pleura (708.05 c.c.), the left pleura also showed a massive effusion, although with less volume.
