Dialogo Surrealists or Locos

I always do a very brief medical history before starting and during each sonographic study. This practice has given me excellent results to frame the sonographic findings of each examination. I also palpate the area to be scanned before applying the transducer to the area.
But like everything in life, we always find unexpected or unusual difficulties in everything we do, look at what things one encounters when interacting with people

Tell me if you do not agree with me or if I am losing patience over the years (or if it is both).
A new patient comes in for an outpatient sonogram ... I ask him, why did he go to the doctor? ,
Answer: Because the Cardiologist sent me .... !!!
I ask again: What I want you to tell me is that it hurts, where because they sent you to do a sonogram, what's wrong ...
Answer: Well, I am a patient who has been coming here for years .....
I ask again (already somewhat desperate), let's see Mr. or Mrs., what I want to know is that it hurts and where to know what I'm looking for,
Answer: I already told you that I am a patient here and the specialist sent me ...
Okay, I see that I'm not speaking to you in Spanish, let's leave it there ...
Of course, from time to time a savvy appears (it was a savvy one) who snapped at the first question why I had gone to the doctor with the following ... Because I'm sick !!! (I had to lower my head and smile, acknowledging that I was absolutely right in the world), even if that was not the intention of my question.
I tell them that I have tried other formulations for these basic questions and I have failed miserably, so I have resigned myself to that useless and surreal confrontation, especially with elderly patients, and I only despair with these dialogues if it is with people of less than 40-year-old who one hopes can better understand our intentions.
