Female patient aged 20 years, menarche at 13 years, first intercourse at 17 years of age. Gesta 1 Abortion unprovoked 1 (8 months ago). Comes secondary amenorrhea of 8.4 weeks. At eco-sonographic examination, despite normal uterus, shows the presence of multiple images, an-echogenic, containing liquid, cystic, lined up around the cervical canal, add about four images (see Naboth cysts in the picture).
Both ovaries show images of immature follicles, more than ten in each ovary, which are distributed mostly peripherally, as a necklace of pearls. The ovaries look enlarged, the right measures 5.1 x 3.6 x 3.1 cm and left 4.8 x 2.3 x 2.5 cm.
Because of this diagnosis we question what the alleged pregnancy, abortion and polycystic ovary disease is often associated with primary infertility for cycles without ovulation. We call attention to the presence of cysts Naboth so early and we usually see them at a later age and in patients with a history of multiple births, although this is not necessarily linked.
