Calculos en Paciente Falcemico

Paciente masculino de 12 años de edad , falcemico homocigotico. Viene a urgencias por haber recibido trauma abdominal producido al caerle encima un compañero de juegos en su colegio. Existia el temor de sus familiares y de su Pediatria de que el trauma produciria una fractura del Bazo. El examen sonografico abdominal mostro la presencia de abundante lodo vesicular y micro-calculos que producen intensas sombras ecogenicas posteriores, hecho muy comun en pacientes falcemicos debido a la destruccion acelerada de globulos rojos. Otro hallazgo, este no relacionado con la enfermedad, es la presencia de micro-calculos en riñon derecho. El Bazo luce sonograficamente normal, esta moderadamente aumentado, con volumen aprox de 484, 6 ml , con dimension longitudinal de 12.0 cms que supera ampliamente la media para su edad ( 7,0 cms ).

The abdominal sonographic examination showed the presence of abundant mud and micro-vesicular load producing intense echogenic shadows later become very common in patients with Sickle Cell Anemia due to the accelerated destruction of red blood cells. Another find, this is not related to the disease is the presence of micro-load in the right kidney. Spleen normal sonographic looks but its volume is moderately increased, with volume of about 484, 6 ml, with longitudinal dimension of 12,0 cms above the average for their age (7.0 cms).
