Chronic Renal Failure ( CRF )
Male patient, 38 years old with a long history of recurrent urinary tract infections. The sonographic examination shows marked increase in cortical echogenicity which blurs the boundaries between the cortex and the renal medulla, the presence of multiple lesions are also seen rounded , an-echogenic, which correspond to micro-renal cysts. Noteworthy that has such a young age (38 years) has developed as eco-sonographic changes of chronic renal failure, but in this case is associated with poorly controlled Diabetes Mellitus. As shown by the images, the changes are similar in both kidneys.
