Absceso Post Apendicectomia
Child six years of age with acute appendiceal process operated 10 days ago. He has presented for 2 days febrile illness and severe abdominal pain and stomach with a focus on Right Iliac fossa. The exploration area shows presence of appendiceal an-echogenic mass, lumpy and irregular liquid contained inside walls and thickened area is approx 3.11 X 2.71 X 2.99 inches, 13.18 ml volume approx. Significant increase in peripheral vascular flow area of the lesion was observed, using the color Doppler.
The lab report is 20,700 whites with 82% neutrophils. After intensive antibiotic treatment he was subjected to the patient, the patient has reacted positively, disappearing aches and appetite recovered. Analytical reports down to 10,020 whites with 67% neutrophils.The new sonographic control showed disappearance of the mass detected in the appendix area and the patient was discharged with satisfactory status.
