Male patient 50 years old with severe abdominal pain, localized mainly in epigastric area radiating to the back and towards upper quadrant. Abdominal sonographic examination shows slightly enlarged liver with normal echogenicity and homogeneity. Normal gallbladder without stones. The pancreas shows increased thickness AP diameter of the body at 3.0 cm. Ahead of the pancreatic body small amount of liquid is displayed, the same finding is reproduced at the level of splenic hilum. No cystic lesions type pseudo-cystic or solid lesion is detected. The right image shows small cystic kidney .It concludes with probable diagnosis of acute pancreatitis pending analytics and future evolution of the picture.
