Female patient, 57 years of age with painful discomfort in the left submandibular region. In this area small mass is palpable, something hard, mobile, painless mobilization. The sonographic examination shows submandibular salivary gland with slight increase in size, with dilatation of the excretory duct (Wharton's duct), which is displayed in almost throughout, this conduit is normally not visible on sonography (see submandibular gland right at the last picture). Appreciate at least five (5) images hyper-echogenic (calculus) with subsequent shadows. It is recalled that 60 to 90% of cases of sialolitiasis staying in the submandibular glands.
