Yo y mi Chikungunya Fase I
This is a post that has been slow to process several long months among other reasons because it is a personal case of a disease that has affected me like no other, both in duration and in the physical and emotional scars that caused me. I have some apprehension of treating an individual case like this, but I think I should do about everything to try to represent, as in a mirror, the suffering of thousands of patients who have had to go through this, both in my country and in others. First was the fever, severe, frightening, especially chills, touching 40 degrees Celsius. For the first time in many, many years as my profession, forced me to cancel all my obligations and lock at home, do not say in bed because the case was that the pain that accompanied fever, were so intense that not bear to be in it a long time, so this became a wandering from the bed to the sofa or chair and return back to bed, all accompanied by the greatest fatigue (tiredness) you have ever experienced in my life. The pains of both knees, ankles and toes, soles of the feet and hands were so intense and disabling to go down stairs to get to the table to eat, it was a real pain, besides the eating, which is says eating, was another pain aggregate as all meals had the same taste-earth, therefore, there was no desire to go through that bitter pill, all this was accompanied, of course, a pruritus (itching) intense that against all desire to control, forced to scratch up to create multiple abrasions on the affected part. To round out the picture, persistent dizziness, was a true reflection of the feeling of being severely ill. Luckily, this first phase have called Phase I, hard few days, reflected in a very pale form, for these pictures of parts of my body affected by skin lesions.
