Absceso Parotidas

Paciente masculino, marinero de profesión, viene a chequeo por presentar tumefacción dolorosa en región infra-auricular derecha. El examen sonografico de la región muestra glándula parotidas con imagen an-ecogena, cavitada, casi anular en su forma , mide aprox 1,98 X 1,35 cm, muestra aumento del flujo vascular al Doppler Color. Por debajo de ella, se aprecia imagen hipoecogenica, redondeada, mide aprox 1,50 X 0.95 cm, se corresponde con adenomegalia cervical satélite, con iguales características sonograficas  que esta , pero de menor tamaño,  en región retroauricular, se visualiza una  imagen de aprox 1,10 X 0,31 cm. Los vasos del cuellos y las estructuras musculares subyacentes lucen sonograficamente normales.Se concluye con el diagnóstico de Absceso de Parotidas derecha y Adenomegalias satélites.

A male patient, a sailor by profession, is to check to present painful swelling in the infra-auricular region right. The sonographic examination of the parotid gland region with image shows an-echogenic cavitation, almost annular in shape, measuring approximately 1.98 x 1.35 cm, shows increased vascular flow at color Doppler. Below it, hypo-echogenic image, shown rounded, measures approx 1.50 x 0.95 cm, corresponding to cervical lymphadenopathy satellite with the same sonographic characteristics this, but smaller, in the retroauricular region, an image is displayed of approximately 1.10 X 0.31 cm. The vessels of the neck and the underlying muscle structures look sonographically normal. It concludes with the diagnosis of the right parotid abscess and lymphadenopathy satellites.
