Fistula Arterio-Venosa

Masculino 26 años de edad que viene por haberse notado un bulto en cara interna, tercio inferior, del brazo izquierdo, ligeramente por encima del codo. Su padre, médico radiólogo, le había realizado previamente una radiografía de la zona y le había diagnosticado de espolón del olecranon y de quiste. El examen sonografico con transductor lineal mostró presencia de imagen aparentemente quistica con material ecogeno pulsátil en su interior, mide aprox : 1,72 X 1,35 X 1,24 cm, al aplicar el Doppler Color se aprecia una masa ensortijada de vasos arteriales y venosos formando una clara imagen de fístula arterio-venosa. El estudio del flujo da  como resultado un índice de pulsatilidad ( IP ) de 0,93 y un índice de resistencia ( IR) de 0,54.Se concluye con el diagnóstico de Fístula Arterio-Venosa .El paciente niega traumas, heridas o cualquier otra eventualidad a la cual se pueda achacar como causa de la fístula, por tanto, suponemos que es una fistula arteriovenosa congenita.

Arteriovenous Fistula 

Male 26 years old who comes from a lump, lower third, left arm, have noticed in the inner side slightly above the elbow. His father, a radiologist, had previously conducted an X-ray of the area and diagnosed olecranon spur and cyst. The linear transducer sonographic examination showed the presence of an apparently cystic image with echogenic materials throbbing inside, measures approx: 1.72 X 1.35 X 1.24 cm, in applying a mass curly Color Doppler arterial vessels are appreciated and venous forming a clear picture of arteriovenous fistula. The study of the flow results in a pulsatility index (PI) of 0.93 and an index of resistance (IR) 0,54. We conclude with the diagnosis of arteriovenous fistula. The patient denied trauma, injury, or any other eventuality which can be attributed as a cause of the fistula, therefore, we assume that it is a congenital arteriovenous fistula.
