Ganglion

Masculino 47 años edad. Desde hace unos pocos días presenta pequeña tumefacción a nivel de articulación metacarpo--falángica del 5to dedo de la mano derecha, en su cara volar. No se queja de dolor en el área. Al examen sonografico con transductor lineal de 10.0 MHz, apreciamos presencia de dos ( 2 ) pequeñas áreas an-ecogenas, contenido liquido, con pequeño refuerzo ecogenico posterior, miden aprox: 0,50 X 0.43 X 0,42 cm y 0.49 X 0,33 X 0,34 cm respectivamente. No hay signos de roturas del tendón flexor y/ extensor.Estos se deslizan normalmente durante la sonografia dinámica. Las estructuras óseas lucen estructuralmente normales.El eco-Doppler no muestra signos de aumento del flujo en el área. Se concluye con el diagnóstico de Quiste Sinovial ( Ganglion ) en articulación metacarpo-falángica del 5to dedo mano derecha.

 Ganglion    

Male 47 years old. Since a few days ago it shows a small swelling at the metacarpal - a phalangeal joint level of the 5th finger of the right hand, on its volar face. No complaints of pain in the area. On the sonographic examination with a 10.0 MHz linear transducer, we noticed the presence of two (2) small anechoic areas, liquid content, with small posterior echogenic reinforcement, measuring approx: 0.50 X 0.43 X 0.42 cm and 0.49 X 0.33 X 0.34 cm respectively. There are no signs of flexor and extensor tendon ruptures. These slide normally during dynamic sonography. The bony structures look structurally normal. The Doppler echo shows no signs of increased flow in the area. It concludes with the diagnosis of Synovial Cyst (Ganglion) in the metacarpophalangeal joint of the 5th finger right hand.
