Adenoma Glandula Submaxilar
Paciente femenina 56 años de edad con tumefacción en cara lateral derecha de cuello a nivel de la glándula submaxilar derecha, febrículas , dolor, sequedad de boca. Inicialmente fue diagnosticada de Parotiditis, posteriormente le indicaron antibióticos y unos inyectables que no sabe identificar. Viene para exploración sonográfica del cuello.
A la exploración sonográfica con transductor linear de 10 MHz encontramos que ambas glándulas Parótidas lucen de morfología y tamaño normales. A nivel de la glándula sub-maxilar derecha ( donde se palpa una masa dura, pétrea ) se aprecian tres (3 ) imágenes de carácter quístico con pequeña cantidad de material ecogeno en su interior y paredes internas irregulares, miden 25 X 9 & 16 X 6 y 4 X 3 mm respectivamente ).
La interconsulta con cirujano maxilo- facial sugirió el diagnostico de Adenoma Quístico de la Glándula Submaxilar Derecha.
No se encontraron signos de litiasis del conducto salivar o en la glándula en si a diferencia de un caso publicado por nosotros anterioriormente ( ver Sialolitiasis ).

Submaxillary Gland Adenoma

Consultation with the maxillo-facial surgeon suggested the diagnosis of cystic Adenoma right submaxillary gland.
There were no signs of salivary duct stones or the gland itself, unlike our previous case (see Sialolithiasis)...
