Solid Nodule Thigh
Male patient, 20 years old basketball player. Two weeks ago, while practicing, he began to notice pain in anterior inner right thigh, in the lower third. When touched, I notice small painful lump in the area. The sonographic examination with short focus transducer (10.0 MHz) shows solid nodule, hypo-echogenic, poorly defined boundary, located immediately below the anterior fascia of the right quadriceps muscle in the lower third, measures approx 2.10 X 1,85 X 1.32 cm. The most worrying thing is that the shows intense Color Doppler flow in the most posterior region of the nodule, suggesting malignancy, myosarcoma type (rhabdomyosarcoma being striated muscle injury), for this reason biopsy is indicated. The father had malignant lesion that was removed. .
