First Trimester Pregnancy & Ovarian Cyst Giant
Female patient aged 24 Gesta 3 Abortion 2, studying pregnancy of 6.4 weeks. She complains of pain in the left lower quadrant radiating to the back and the ipsilateral thigh. It has submitted bleeding. Sonographic examination via transvaginal pelvic is seen fundal gestational sac pregnancy, regular in its boundaries, its interior shows embryo with heartbeat present and regular and craniocaudal axis (ECC) of about 6.8 mm, compatible with a pregnancy of 6.4 weeks. Normal uterus. The posterior fornix is free of findings. The right ovary sonographic looks normal, measuring 4.4 x 1.8 cms. In area left ovarian cystic mass is displayed, not enclosed, walls thin, regular intense echogenic posterior enhancement, measures approx 7.9 x 7.6 x 6.8 cm with a volume of 213.5 ml approx. Given the volume of the cyst and the risk of cystic torsion is graded as a high-risk pregnancy.
