Absceso Iatrogénico

Femenina 31 años de edad, atleta de competición de Vóley Ball la cual, tras sufrir una fractura de ligamentos cruzados en rodilla izquierda, esta le fue inyectada con colágeno y ácido hialuronico, posterior a estos eventos desarrolló tumefacción en cara interna de la rodilla donde presenta masa que sobresale en el área (ver fotos 4,5 y 6). En la zona antes descrita se visualiza imagen anecogena de paredes internas anfractuosas y con un contenido liquido con grumos finos floculantes y material ecogeno (coágulos).La masa mide aprox: 4.41 X 4.74 X 3.69 cm, con volumen aprox: de 39.91 c.c. El eco-Doppler es negativo.La Elastografia de la zona muestra una escala de color rojo (muy blando), verde (algo más endurecido) y un azul tenue (zona más endurecida) Se concluye con el diagnostico de absceso en cara lateral interna de rodilla de posible etiología iatrogénica.

Iatrogenic abscess

A 31-year-old female, a volleyball competition athlete, after suffering a cruciate ligament fracture in her left knee, was injected with collagen and hyaluronic acid. After these events, she developed swelling on the inside of the knee where she had a mass that protrudes in the area (see photos 4,5, and 6). An anechoic image of anfractuous internal walls and a liquid content with OK flocculant lumps and echogenic material (clots) is visualized in the previously described area. The mass measures approx: 4.41 X 4.74 X 3.69 cm, with a volume of approx: 39.91 c.c. The echo-Doppler is negative. The Elastography of the area shows a scale of red (very soft), green (somewhat harder), and a faint blue (more hardened size). It concludes with the diagnosis of an abscess on the internal lateral side of the knee of possible iatrogenic etiology.
