Absceso Mamario
Femenina 33 años edad, lactando. Se presenta por dolor, enrojecimiento y tumefacción en mama derecha de dos semanas de evolución. La piel que recubre gran parte de la mama derecha luce brillante, roja y muestra aumento de la temperatura al tacto. Al examen sonografico muestra edema subcutáneo diseminado por casi toda la superficie de la mama. Se aprecia masa hipoecogenica, de limites externos e internos irregulares, mide aprox: 3,33 X 2,66 X 1,67 cm con volumen aprox: de 7,75 c.c. Muestra material grumoso en su interior y pobre refuerzo ecogenico posterior. La paciente cuenta que se ha intentado con múltiples antibióticos y el proceso sigue adelante.El eco- Doppler no muestra aumento del flujo en el área. Se concluye con el diagnostico de mastitis & Absceso mama derecha. Asumimos que es producto de infección con alta resistencia a los antibióticos utilizados hasta ahora.
Breast Abscess
Female 33 years old, nursing. It is presented by pain, redness, and swelling in the right breast of two weeks of evolution. The skin that covers a large part of the right breast looks bright, red and shows the increased temperature to the touch. The sonographic examination shows subcutaneous edema spread over almost the entire surface of the breast. There is hypoechogenic mass, of irregular external and internal limits, measures approx: 3.33 X 2.66 X 1.67 cm with volume approx: 7.75 c.c. It shows lumpy material inside and poor subsequent echogenic reinforcement. The patient says that she has tried multiple antibiotics and the process continues. The eco-Doppler does not show increased flow in the area. It concludes with the diagnosis of mastitis & right breast abscess. We assume that it is a product of infection with high resistance to the antibiotics used so far.
