Pólipo Endometrial: Valoración por Elastografia
A 34-year-old female patient with a 10-year history of primary infertility, accompanied by heavy menstrual bleeding and intermenstrual spotting. Menarche at age 15 and first sexual intercourse at age 24. Dyspareunia is present. Ultrasonography reveals an anteverted uterus with no signs of myomatous lesions, with approximate dimensions of 7.40 x 4.89 x 3.29 cm. The endometrial cavity exhibits a nodular, oval, echogenic image of approximately 1.27 x 1.31 x 0.75 cm, with peripheral flow using Color Doppler. Elastography of the polyp indicates a Ueno score of 2, equivalent to soft tissue with a B/A ratio of 0.50, suggesting benign tissue. The relevance of the clinical context, the use of Color Doppler, and, especially, elastography to confirm the benignity of the lesion are emphasized. The conclusive diagnosis is an endometrial polyp with characteristics of a benign lesion.
