Sarcoma Ewing
Paciente de 11 años de edad diagnosticado y tratado con Quimioterapia durante un año, por Sarcoma de Ewing. Viene por dolor y sensación de abultamiento en la región del Cuadriceps femoral derecho. La palpación sutil del área muestra pequeño abultamiento , casi plano, en el área. El paciente es un activo deportista, sobre todo fútbol y se queja que le duele el área tanto en el reposo como cuando moviliza la pierna al jugar o al levantar la extremidad. El examen sonografico muestra masa heterogénea en el interior del musculo Cuadriceps, es fusiforme de contenido ecogeno con áreas lacunares en su interior y rodeado de área liquida.Los margenes son anfractuosos. El área mide aprox 6,61 X 3,71 X 1,75 cm. El eco-Doppler muestra actividad en el interior de la masa.Se realiza el Diagnostico de Hematoma del Cuadriceps Derecho pero se ruega hacer diagnóstico diferencial con Metástasis Sarcomatosa del Musculo Cuadriceps.
A pesar del escepticismo de la madre que refiere que otro sonografista dijo lo mismo cuando se descubrió por vez primera el Sarcoma de Ewing, las pruebas posteriores de Resonancia Magnética corroboraron nuestro diagnostico de Hematoma del Musculo Cuadriceps derecho, lo cual fue re-confirmado en Miami donde se remitieron todos los resultados.

Ewing Sarcoma
Patient 11 years of age diagnosed and treated with chemotherapy for a year, for Ewing sarcoma. It comes from feeling pain and swelling in the region of the right femoral quadriceps. The subtle Palpation area shows a small lump, almost flat in the area. The patient is an active athlete, especially football, and complains that it hurts the area both at rest and when it mobilizes the leg while playing or lifting the limb. The sonographic examination shows heterogeneous mass within the quadriceps muscle echogenic content is fusiform with lacunar areas inside an area surrounded by liquid. This is approximately 6.61 X 3.71 X 1.75 cm. The echo-Doppler shows activity within it. We performed Diagnosis Right Quadriceps hematoma but please do a differential diagnosis of sarcomatous metastases Quadriceps Muscle.
