Nódulos Tumorales Hepáticos & Derrame Pleural

Masculino 52 años de edad, es traído por cirujano para verificar la cantidad/volumen de derrame pleural residual tras realizar evacuación de 1,200 c.c. del espacio pleural derecho. El examen sonografico abdominal muestra presencia de nodulo solido que deforma la silueta del páncreas (figura # 1).La vesícula biliar no fue visualizada por colecistectomía previa. El hígado muestra multiples lesiones nodulares solidas que ocupan prácticamente todo el lóbulo derecho, destacándose de forma individual un nodulo adosado al diafragma derecho y en el lóbulo izquierdo se destaca otro con caracteristicas sonograficas similares. El nodulo del lóbulo izquierdo muestra un score 4-5 de Ueno al aplicar la Elastografia ( ver foto # 2-3) No se detectan signos de ascitis. Los riñones y el bazo lucen sonograficamente normales. El derrame pleural derecho muestra un volumen aprox: de 1,269.39 c.c. Se concluye con los diagnósticos de Nódulos Solidos Hepáticos/Pancreático posiblemente de tipo maligno hasta la espera confirmatoria, Derrame Pleural Derecho y estatus post-Colecistectomia

Liver Tumor Nodules & Pleural Effusion

A 52-year-old male is brought in by a surgeon to verify the amount/volume of residual pleural effusion after evacuating 1,200 c.c. of the right pleural space. The abdominal sonographic examination shows the presence of a solid nodule that deforms the silhouette of the pancreas (figure # 1). The gallbladder was not visualized by the previous cholecystectomy. The liver shows multiple solid nodular lesions that occupy practically the entire right lobe, standing out individually a nodule attached to the right diaphragm and another one with similar sonographic characteristics stands out in the left lobe. The nodule of the left lobe shows an Ueno score of 4-5 when applying Elastography (see photos # 2-3). No signs of ascites are detected. The kidneys and spleen appear normal sonographically. The right pleural effusion shows a volume of approx: 1,269.39 c.c. It concludes with the diagnosis of Solid Hepatic/Pancreatic Nodules, possibly of a malignant type until the confirmation waits, Right Pleural Effusion, and post-cholecystectomy status.
