Granulomas Gluteos por Gentamicina

Femenina 51 años de edad, enfermera de profesion que fue sometida a tratamiento antibiotico con Gentamicina por 14 dias. A partir de eso presenta nodulaciones dolorosas en ambos gluteos, de mayor tamaño en gluteo izquierdo. Segun refiere la paciente no tolera sentarse en sillas o dormir boca arriba por los dolores que estas posiciones le causan. El examen sonografico muestra imagen hipoecogenica,sin refuerzo ecogenico posterior,vagamente fusiforme,con limites algo irregulares, mide aprox: 3.09 X 1.22 cm y muestra en la Elastografia Shell    ( concha) un valor de 0.97 compatible con lesion benigna. Se concluye con el diagnostico de Granulomas de ambos gluteos por material exogeno no reabsorbido ( Gentamicina).

A 51-year-old female nurse by profession underwent antibiotic treatment with Gentamicin for 14 days. Since then, she has had painful nodulations in both buttocks, larger in the left buttock. According to the patient, she does not tolerate sitting in chairs or sleeping on her back due to the pain that these positions cause her. The sonographic examination shows a hypoechogenic image, without posterior echogenic reinforcement, vaguely fusiform, with somewhat irregular limits, it measures approx: 3.09 X 1.22 cm and shows in the Shell Elastography a value of 0.97 compatible with a benign lesion. It concludes with the diagnosis of Granulomas of both buttocks due to non-reabsorbed exogenous material (Gentamicin).
