Galactocele

 Femenina 28 años edad Gesta 1 Cesárea 1, lactando hasta hace 1 mes. Dice que notó un bultoma en mama izquierda que posteriormente desapareció para reaparecer ahora. Por ese motivo la envían para chequeo. El examen sonografico de mamas con transductor lineal de 10 MHz muestra pequeña ectasia ductal en mama derecha. En el área de la areola mamaria izquierda se visualiza imagen quística con múltiples tabiques internos y con refuerzo ecogénico posterior, mide aprox: 2.88 X 1.77 X 1.68 cm con volumen aprox: de 4.50 c.c. El Doppler Color muestra ligera presencia de flujo en área periférica del quiste. Se concluye con el diagnostico de Galactocele izquierdo y Ectasia Ductal derecha.Posteriormente la paciente me comunico que su medico realizo una puncion del galactocele resolviendo la situacion.

Galactocele

In the area of the left mammary areola, a cystic image is displayed with multiple internal septa and with posterior echogenic reinforcement, it measures approx: 2.88 X 1.77 X 1.68 cm with a volume of approx: 4.50 c.c. Color Doppler shows a slight presence of flow in the peripheral area of the cyst. It concludes with the diagnosis of left Galactocele and right Ductal Ectasia. Subsequently, the patient told me that her doctor performed a galactocele puncture, resolving the situation.
