Tendinopatía Crónica Supraespinoso

 Atleta de alto rendimiento de lucha olímpica con historia de lesión por rotura ligamentosa en hombro derecho hace 6 meses. Fue operado hace 3 meses. Muestra limitación de movimientos por dolor. El examen sonografico del hombro con transductor linear de 10.0 MHz muestra la presencia de hipertrofia sinovial a nivel del tendón supraespinoso, esa característica sonografica es usual en la inflamación crónica del tendón. El Doppler color no muestra aumento significativo del flujo en el área lesional. A nivel del manguito rotador se aprecia la misma imagen de hipertrofia sinovial. Se concluye con el diagnostico de tendinopatía crónica del tendón supraespinoso siendo este hallazgo muy frecuente en las lesiones tendinosas del hombro.

Chronic Supraspinatus Tendinopathy

High-performance olympic wrestling athlete with a history of injury due to ligament rupture in the right shoulder 6 months ago. He had surgery 3 months ago. Shows limitation of movement due to pain. The sonographic examination of the shoulder with a 10.0 MHz linear transducer shows the presence of synovial hypertrophy at the level of the supraspinatus tendon, this sonographic characteristic is usual in chronic inflammation of the tendon. Color Doppler does not show a significant increase in flow in the injured area. At the level of the rotator cuff, the same image of synovial hypertrophy can be seen. We conclude with the diagnosis of chronic tendinopathy of the supraspinatus tendon, this finding being very common in tendon injuries of the shoulder.
