Abscesos Mamarios Multiples

 Madre lactante de 20 años de edad Gestacion 1 Parto 1.Lacta desde hace 1 mes. Desde hace 2 semanas presenta tumefacción mamaria bilateral con enrojecimiento, aumento de temperatura focal en varias zonas de ambas mamas. Se queja de intensos dolores tanto de forma expontanea como si se toca o roza casi cualquier zona de ambas mamas. Ha sido sometida a tratamientos con antibióticos y antiinflamatorios, así como se intento punción mamaria pero no se consiguió extraer nada. El examen sonografico con transductor linear de 10 MHz muestra múltiples áreas anecogénicas, hipoecogenicas, de paredes irregulares y conteniendo material grumoso que fluye de una zona a otra de los focos detectados sobre todo si se presiona sobre las zonas exploradas. Las zonas de los abscesos varían en volúmenes desde 7.14 c.c. el más pequeño hasta 96.96 c.c. el de mayor tamaño. En total se detectaron seis ( 6 ) focos de abscesos en ambas mamas. Se concluye con el diagnostico de Abscesos Mamarios Múltiples en madre lactante.

Multiple Breast Abscesses

A 20-year-old nursing mother Gestation 1 Delivery 1. Lactated for 1 month. For 2 weeks she has presented bilateral breast swelling with redness, focal temperature increase in various areas of both breasts. She complains of intense pain both spontaneously and if almost any area of ​​both breasts is touched or brushed against. She has undergone antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatments, as well as an attempted breast puncture, but nothing could be extracted. The sonographic examination with a 10 MHz linear transducer shows multiple anechoic and hypoechoic areas, with irregular walls and containing lumpy material that flows from one area to another of the detected foci, especially if the areas explored are pressed. The areas of the abscesses vary in volumes from 7.14 c.c. the smallest up to 96.96 c.c. the largest. In total, six (6) abscess foci were detected in both breasts. It concludes with the diagnosis of Multiple Breast Abscesses in a nursing mother.
